When WordPress shows a white screen

A white screen is PHP hiding an error. The site has not been deleted.

Renaming the last plugin to turn it off is often enough. Renaming the plugin folder does not ask for the admin password.

  1. Open wp-content/plugins in the file manager.
  2. Add -off to the end of the folder name of the plugin you added last.
  3. Reload. If it opens, do not put that plugin back until it is updated.
