Change the PHP version

WordPress and the plugins ask for a particular PHP. Do not pick the newest one at random.

The version belongs to the site folder. If a white screen appears, go back to the previous version.

  1. Open the PHP tool in cPanel on Linux, or in Plesk on Windows.
  2. Select the version the site asks for and save.
  3. Reload the home page and one post. If they break, switch back.
