When the site shows error 500

500 means the server could not build the page. A taken domain name does not explain it.

The usual cause is a new plugin, a broken PHP version, or a setting file with a typo. Undo the last change.

  1. Turn off the plugin or theme you added last.
  2. Set PHP to the version the site asks for.
  3. If it stays, write the time of the error on a ticket. Do not write a password.
