Buying the name does not open the site. The browser asks for the name and the answer comes from the nameserver. Wrong server addresses send the site and the mail somewhere else, or nowhere.
When it changes
If the hosting account is here, writing the nameservers on the domain record is enough. If the domain is at another firm, paste the addresses TechNest shows into that record. Filling both at random drops the site one day and the mail the next.
A check
If the site is still closed a few hours after the record, read the name first, then the nameservers. The domain card in the account shows those addresses. The domain record is managed there. When a hosting account opens, the addresses are on that card too.
