How to add a DNS record

A, CNAME, TXT and MX records live in the domain’s DNS tool. A record is written only for that name.

DNS here works when the name servers point here. If they point somewhere else, add the records there. A row saved here will not publish.

  1. Open the DNS tool on the domain.
  2. Enter the type, the host and the value. For the root, the host is often @.
  3. Save and check that the same row appears in the list.
